I have been working at Serta full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It really is a fun job for me.

    Cons

The company has merged with Simmons and it is tanking. Simmons went bankrupt and was obtained by Serta but Simmons management took over and the company is being converted to the 'simmons' way. It is very frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Thin the herd. The company is too top heavy and retains too many consultants.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Serta (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was great. A lot of diversity.

    Cons

When Serta Bedding Company merged with Simmons Bedding Company Serta swallowed up the Simmons bedding Company and in my opinion began a purge. It got ruthless and no longer a fun place to work. Serta brought in a like of their management. Serta is in Chicago and Simmons was in Atlanta. Two different type of personalities. Serta is very conservative. The Simmons people on the other hand were joyful and a delight to work with.

    Advice to Management

Do not hold corporate meetings at Plantations in Georgia no matter how nice the plantation is such as what you did in 2014 at that plantation in Georgia. Its offensive to your African American employees.

Going through a lot of changes, difficult to keep up with and it's causing negativity throughout the workplace
Do not get 4 weeks PTO until you have worked there for 20 years, no sick/personal days

    Advice to Management
