I have been working at Servest full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked for Servest Security for 2 years. It is forward thinking and the managers I have encountered actively engage with staff, listen to their views and where possible try to improve pay and working conditions. We have received 2 pay rises in 2 years above the national average pay increase. Prior to Servest wing the contract the previous contractor G4S never gave a pay rise in 4 years.

    Cons

There is a constant drive in the Tendering process to get more and pay less. This will naturally drive down pay and result in bad moral, however, this is the commercial world of Security

    Advice to Management

As long as you continue to balance the needs of the clients, the workforce and business objectives with honesty and transparency you will not go far wrong.

  5. "Not the best place to work"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Servest full-time

    Pros

Company cars good, there is an attempt to be a nice softly softly, inwardly caring company but in reality this only remains the culture at the head office.

    Cons

Never pay suppliers on time, the nature of the business being funded and aggressively growing through investment funded acquisitions means a rather constant state of chaos in affected divisions.

I have been working at Servest full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None, but it won't let me leave it blank as it needs at least 20 words to submit so I'm going to carry on until I reach it so I can submit it

    Cons

6 days work, pay wrong every month, old and rusty equipment, management has no idea what cleaning needs doing. Constant hour cuts and to top it off I was told if I'm not happy I can move on as I'm easily replaceable !!!!!! Absolutely shocking, not to mention the swearing and cursing. Company run by bulling its employees
    .

    Advice to Management

Top manager needs to get a reality check before it's too late.

    I worked at Servest full-time

    Pros

Great bunch of dm's and seniors, there always understandable and helpful when there hands are not tied.
Great colleagues to work with, always up for a laugh. And they will help you if they can.

    Cons

    Bullying
    Mental health issues
    Physical health issues
    Stress
    Tiredness and fatigue
    Pay
    Hours
Reduction in break times, which will effect energy levels and fitness in back, knees and feet from constant static guarding. If your used to this than this is the right job for you.

    Advice to Management

This job was alot better when G4S used to run it, we never really had alot of big problems. Since this company has come on the scene and we had to Tupe over, we have felt bullied, some even started stressing which made them sick, and just resently consultation has started to reduce break times because servest want to save money. Well my opinion is that servest shouldn't of been given the contract and they should be booted out ASAP.

I worked at Servest full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have nothing good to say about this company

    Cons

Bullying by manager.swearing on the phone telling , if i didn't do a shift, vetting procedure not done at start of employment, Very little training given on first day and thereafter. eventually i had to resign due to health reasons. Didn't know what a back to work interview is

    Advice to Management

If this is the way you treet employees, the word will get about what this company is like and won't want to work for you. It seems to me this company doesn't care about the employees

I worked at Servest part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

none . They fill a gap whilst seeking other employment

    Cons

Underpaid . Bullied by management. Overtaxed. Supervisor known to be dishonest. This company are almost impossible to contact with a biased complaint procedure. They do not pay for the work done and do not send payslips to the correct E mail address despite being told on numerous occasions they have made an error. They do not return documents .

    Advice to Management

I will retrieve my documents by law. I will not accept bullying or defamation of character.
