    Pros

Decent money. EASY! Great hours, less than 40 hours a week. Good benefits. Interesting conversations of death with customers in the field.

    Cons

For the professional this job will become boring quick. For the novice, you will be misled to believe all sales are this easy. Management is an utter incompetent joke. Poor hiring and training practices.

    Advice to Management

Stop with the old boys mentality.

    Cons

Money hungry, lost vision of serving the customer

    Advice to Management

More consistent communication with employees by Managers; more consistency of sharing company policies and changes amongst all Managers on the same level to employees.

    Pros

human resource department, equipment available, support staff, decent benefits, many different opportunities around the country, national transferability, large company network to help support the families we serve

    Cons

bureaucracy, p and l structure, management challenges, pushy product at times, lack of cohesive vision, changing the funeral industry from within by commoditizing the funeral experience and undervaluing their employees causing less and less motivated and qualified people to serve families experiencing loss

    Advice to Management

Focus on the families we serve not what can be sold

    Pros

The biggest company in the industry. Competition are small private or mom/pop funeral homes. Multiple brands, located in every major city. Sales and Bonuses are great hit when above 120% monthly quota. Everyone is a customer because everyone will die one day.

    Cons

What have you done for me lately. Very High turnover for Sales agents. Carousel of Managers. Inconsistent and always a new start over game plan.

    Advice to Management

    Baby Steps

    Pros

Hours are set, for the most part. PTO isn't bad. Room for upward mobility. Lots of locations, so you can move almost anywhere and you have a better chance of getting a position.

    Cons

The funeral home doesn't really consider your personal schedule. It's too tough to balance work with school when your job assumes they come first. SO MUCH PAPERWORK.

    Advice to Management

Properly staff your locations and you won't have such a high turnover. People get burned out when there's fifty hours of work crammed into a forty hour week.
