    Pros

This job used to be a really good first job and get you exposure into the sales world. I met a lot of great people and have learned a lot. You will never feel stressed with this job.

    Cons

This place has become very difficult to work for. They are constantly looking for reasons to not give you a good bonus and have a lot of rules. They also give promotions to people who know nothing about managing besides micromanaging but somehow become a "strategic sales manager".

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to make this a call center

    Pros

Relatively easy job to get with no experience.

    Cons

High turnover. You don't really have a ton of control over renewals, and sometimes it felt like the amount you closed in a given quarter had more to do with luck than anything else.

    Advice to Management

Invest in competent people instead of relying so much on temp agencies and dirt-cheap new grads.

    Pros

Great place to learn how to use business systems (salesforce, excel, webex, outlook) and learn the sales process for renewals. Most of the clients are in the high tech space so you get some exposure to technology companies. Sales people have a chance to earn *bonuses* while opperations folks typically have an option for some overtime. Decent pay for an entry level job straight out of college. With any amount of time you will eventually move up in the company, or you will get an offer from other employers. Your team is being employeed by a company paying ServiceSource, and if they are expanding so will your team! You may be poached by management to pick up new/additional responsibilities which are pathways into management or analyst type positions.

TLDR: systems, entry to high tech industry, people, opportunities

    Cons

Renewing something is not the same as *selling* it.. It's more hand-holding throughout the renewal process than selling the value and product training is somewhat limited as a result. Though pay is decent for a recent college graduate, pay is not decent for anyone with a college degree that has been in the work place for a while. It is *entry level* and they do have significant turnover as a result. Your team is being employeed by a company paying ServiceSource, and if they run into tough economic times, so may your team.. ServiceSource will end up training you well enough to leave for a better job, but unfortunately they have been going through a "turnaround" (former CEO was outted because the company was not profitable) which means upside on your pay is limited.

TLDR: low pay, high turnover, as clients change you must change with them

    Advice to Management

Implement a small guaranteed raise/promotion at 1 year of service. It will help keep great workers.

    I worked at ServiceSource full-time

    Pros

When I began I had a phenomenal manager. It was easy to work with her and to talk through any issues that may arise. Then management changed and the company as whole went very far south.

This companies stock will most likely increase because they are cutting ALL domestic costs. They are moving as many positions overseas as possible to save money and create rise in stock.

    Cons

Upper management absolutely does NOT care about entry level employees. CAUTION: Do NOT work here. If you switch team or organizations, they'll give you twice the work while finding a replacement but not pay you extra during that time and will not approve overtime. The organization as a whole will use their employees as much as they can (i.e. steal ideas without giving credit, create more work than necessary for the time allowed for projects without paying overtime, etc.) and then kick you to the curb once they've exhausted anything useful from you. PTO is bad and rarely granted. They are moving all entry level jobs overseas. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL. You will not have a voice. You will not be cared for. Upper management has to emotion or concern toward anything that happens at entry level. They will preach an open door policy; this does not exist. While you can get something to put on your resume by working here (the absolute ONLY positive of this job), your time here will drain you and jade you. I'm extremely happy that I've finally left this terrible place. if you take a job here, at the very least make it worth while by making friends as there are many nice people at entry level and they like to have fun..... outside the workplace.

    Advice to Management

There is nothing that can be said which would be taken seriously by management. They are moving entry level positions overseas and put zero value in any entry level employee. They will do everything they can (while following HR standards) to remove anyone who "gets in the way". Management can't be trusted for anything.

I have been working at ServiceSource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good place to start career. Nice crash course in entry level B2B interaction. Fun enviroment. Fun people to work with. Nice benefits. Lax work enviroment in most regards

    Cons

Not enough pay to keep talent. Nashville isn't the cheap town it once was. It's time to re-evaluate salary. Not organized.

    Advice to Management

Don't string reps along. Be upfront and honest with them when you can. Recognize this role for what it is.

I have been working at ServiceSource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, great culture of people, pretty easy going for most teams and positions.

    Cons

Constant CEO changes and structure changes, due to poor management and vision in the past almost destroyed the company. Most people haven't received raises in over a year at this point and are constantly leaving.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting using a fraternity mentality and do so by actual qualification for the position.
