I have been working at ServiceSource (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relaxed culture, proximity to great eateries and venues, good entry level job, but once you've gotten the experience, get out.

    Cons

A lot of management lacks professionalism and skills to properly lead a team, pay, disorganization, micromanagement

    Advice to Management

Make an effort to learn more about the accounts you manage, think outside of the box, not every team can be managed with a call quota-approach

    Pros

This job used to be a really good first job and get you exposure into the sales world. I met a lot of great people and have learned a lot. You will never feel stressed with this job.

    Cons

This place has become very difficult to work for. They are constantly looking for reasons to not give you a good bonus and have a lot of rules. They also give promotions to people who know nothing about managing besides micromanaging but somehow become a "strategic sales manager".

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to make this a call center

I worked at ServiceSource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relatively easy job to get with no experience.

    Cons

High turnover. You don't really have a ton of control over renewals, and sometimes it felt like the amount you closed in a given quarter had more to do with luck than anything else.

    Advice to Management

Invest in competent people instead of relying so much on temp agencies and dirt-cheap new grads.

    Pros

    - Great environment
     - can have fun with team depending on manager
     - very involved with charity organizations
     - decent amount of PTO

    Cons

    - harder process to be promoted

     - you are always the middle man

    Advice to Management

Focus on giving rewards to people who hit their numbers and not those who make the most calls.

I worked at ServiceSource full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Can learn about Lean Six Sigma, Process Architecture and Documents. Lenient about taking leisurely breaks to leave the workplace or building or taking time off.

    Cons

Extremely low wages for the work being done and numbers expected to meet. Management is increasingly incompetent & has their favorites whom they promote and whom steal others ideas and get the credit for them. Those who carry & improve the business are never given the respect or raises or promotions they deserve. HIGH turn-over. They'll try to get you to quit if they don't like you....& they won't if you don't conform to their alcoholic middle school culture. New CEO is gradually outsourcing the business. Large amounts of people terminated without warning at a time. The people who stay and move up are of questionable character. Almost all incentives revolve around alcohol: "Beer Friday" or "Spiffs" where you are pressured to consume alcohol and if you do not, you are treated by even Management as "Anti-Social." Breeding ground for Alcoholism, Narcissism et cetera.

    Advice to Management

Get a conscience. Stop running the place with alcoholic tyranny.

    Pros

Good sales training and low stress job - great for college grads to gain a solid understanding of tech industries, customer service skills and sales.

    Cons

Lots of college grads, limited growth, sometimes felt like a frat party. High turnover

    Pros

Great value proposition delivering real value and revenue growth for the world's largest tech and service providers.

    Cons

Leadership and change. Constant change. Lack of vision and mission direction from leadership.

    Advice to Management

Need a corporate vision and strategy to guide and inspire everything the company and the employees do. Constant change amidst lack of direction kills effectiveness and productivity. As in sports, a great coach can inspire a team to greatness. Take the 2016 LFC team for example. They clearly have a vision of what they want to achieve and are killing it.
