I have been working at ServiceSource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Several pros to working at ServiceSource (in the US) include, but are not limited to:

    - 401k matching (50% of employee contrinution up to $2,000 annually)
    - 10 paid holidays
    - 3 weeks PTO annually, more as tenure increases
    - Employer subsidized insurance (health, dental, vision)
    - Opportunities to challenge yourself professionally

    Cons

Cons to working at ServiceSource in general include:

    - Unstable leadership across all levels of management
    - Bonus payments may be changed at any time
    - Shady business practices by managers
    - Frivolous expenditures prioritized over employee raises
    - Pay is well below market value for every position
    - Lack of corporate direction leaves employees feeling uncertain about job security

    Advice to Management

Demonstrate to the workforce that their contributions matter - Good employees come in, are shown that they are not valued, then they walk right back out.

Prioritize employee compensation - Until people are paid at a level that is at least close to market rates, there will always be a flow of employees out the door.

Communicate one corporate vision, then show the progress - It always seems like the moment a direction has been decided for the company, someone at the top wants to switch to something else. Inability to maintain a stance gives the impression of weak and incompetent leadership.

    Pros

Used to be a good environment

    Cons

SREV Cares is the slogan, unfortunately, that's all it is.

    Advice to Management

This company is not scalable like other companies, it is a niche and needs to be managed and run that way. Treat your employees like your customers. Then maybe you could reduce the churn that HR should really be concerned about.

I worked at ServiceSource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Culture was young and fun at times, insurance plans were good, if you want to get experience managing people you can do that pretty early in your career

    Cons

Pay is way below market value, especially salaries, really hard business to grow because you are beholden to clients who always need to cut their total spend, it's a really niche business concept that is very hard to translate outside -- 90% of it isn't real sales, it's managing accounts. Delivery management is extremely overworked and underpaid for all the things they are held accountable for. Some recent layoff decisions were extremely questionable, at best.

    Advice to Management

Pay people for what they do, don't try to make them all sales people with bonuses -- give those teams who have commission rates a monthly commission, fixed fees can just be salary. If you're going to exhaust those within the business that know it the best -- pay them. People coming in from the outside over the top who didn't grow up in the business NEVER earn what they are paid, they simply use buzzwords to spin during reviews. It is OK if your management chain is young, don't try to conform -- this business is different so embrace that.

    Pros

They just remodeled their offices, even though they are laying off employees and pushing back merit increases time and time again. So forget the career advancement opportunities and pay increases, you'll have a great office to work in. Yay!

    Cons

Clients are taking back the size of work initially given to ServiceSource, which leads to...
Layoffs - 100+ employees just axed in May.
Merit increases were delayed last year, and are non-existent this year as they are pushing them back to 2018, supposedly.
Employees are seeing the writing on the wall and leaving left and right (of which I am one), which is further negatively impacting the existing employees (sorry team).

    Advice to Management

The more you gut the employee ranks, the more de-motivated the existing employees will be, which will lead to more customer sat issues, which will lead to more churn, which will lead to more layoffs. Good luck stopping the downward spiral you've started.
