I have been working at Servicom full-time

    Pros

Great to advance and critique on customer service skills.

    Cons

Advanced training and hands on training is critical to reach an expertise level.

    Advice to Management

More hands on training before sending representatives on the floor. A detailed curriculum of technology should be entailed.

I worked at Servicom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They will hire ANYONE so if you have no skills or have issues obtaining a good job, this place will hire you.

    Cons

Equipment is terrible, chairs all broken leaning to side, not adjustable any longer so it is uncomfortable. The pay sucks unless you work lots of overtime. You may or may not have your info needed to help customers due to username and password not available. The supervisors blackmail you for certain things for ex if you want overtime pay them they'll allow you to work it. (I witnessed this before anyone tries to day otherwise). No-one knows anything and they do the minimum to get by. I am not a person that operates on a low standard. This is the worst excuse of a company I have ever seen. drug overdoses in the bathroom.

    Advice to Management

If I could give you a zero I would. Communication needs improving, better employees, meaning some of you even need to go, this company is a joke.

    I worked at Servicom full-time

    Pros

Pretty much anyone that applies gets hired

    Cons

Turn over rate high; poor quality of training; once on floor, pretty much on own. No real assistance. Trys to push the "customer" importance, but all about the company making money. Was hired to troubleshoot tech problems, not sell. When I left, company was trying to "FORCE" customer to add on services and we were to make them add on services. Nickel and dimed customer for services. Some customers were paying hundreds of dollars to receive service. Some customers always on "outages", especially Florida area. Sure, they would "credit" customer, but was usually less than $20 for hours of no service! Met very few, less than 5, who had been there more than one year! And floor support, supervisors would walk by someone needing assistance. Had to raise your hand to get help. Felt like I was back in school asking to use restroom. Took forEVER to get help! And they (Comcast) was interested in helping customers, yet couldn't get assistance to do so!!!

    Advice to Management

Remember importance of customer, not making money! Make floor assistance available to workers. Make supervisors actually available to assist team members, not stand around talking.

I worked at Servicom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of Overtime, Which can pad your checks nicely.
Training was Fairly easy to get through, as they pushed us out onto the phones, as soon as they could. The worst thing is, They hold breaks and lunches when a line needs to met, I'm almost sure that's illegal.

    Cons

There's no organization amongst staff. The procedure changes daily. There are always errors on your work check, and their systems frequently do not work.

    Advice to Management

organize! There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

I have been working at Servicom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

not many pros. the only reason I still work here is because of the overtime benefits.

    Cons

the management is not coordinated, and do not expect them to remember your name. they're fast to send you home early because of one thing or another but if you ask them to pull your timecard they'll ask for your name. there is no chance of moving up either. they rather hire people straight out of training for a supervisor position than the people who have been on the floor for 1-2 years plus. they do not truly care about employees because its a revolving door and every day someone new turns 18 to fill the spot.

    Advice to Management

stop worrying about yourselves and the CEO's pockets and actually start caring about your employees and how their input and their knowledge of a company rather than someone who just got out of training.
