I worked at Shake Shack part-time for more than a year

    Pros

training is great, has a scheduling app, lots of benefits, kind staff and management, competitive pay,

    Cons

at my store management was unorganized and drama-prone but is not usually the case, lots of heavy lifting, a lot of laborious work, long hours, smelling like grease, they only give you two shirts and one hat to start, and you have to pay for more.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Shake Shack full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Able to build a schedule to fit you as well as work in an environment that rewards hard work.

    Cons

Expected to work long hours and unless you're driven, you'll stay at the same salary and position for your entire time there.

    Advice to Management

Listen to team member concerns and attempt to be proactive in coming up with solutions. In this kind of environment, when a problem arises it's often too late to fix it.

I worked at Shake Shack full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Promotes from within, pays pretty well for top performers.

    Cons

Not very direct. Very secretive leaders, not very appreciative of work life balance. long hours no rewards, arrogant ADs. Does not apply progressive discipline to out spoken managers.

    Advice to Management

To try and be more honest with managment. Give direct not passive instruction. Consider longevity

I worked at Shake Shack full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get paid weekly and a discount on food.

    Cons

Long hours, somewhat unsafe working conditions, poor training, and a corporate staff that cares more about their bonus than the employees. Also they stopped training employees because they didnt want them certified on more stations because they'd have to pay them more.

    Advice to Management

When the Area Director walks in and everyone's day is automatically ruined because he makes everyone feel like trash, that should be a sign to take a look in the mirror

I worked at Shake Shack part-time

    Pros

    Friendly coworkers and decent ambiance.

    Cons

No free meals, poor management/scheduling, long hours and few breaks. Favoritism is huge here.

    Advice to Management

Don't call the same day to ask if someone can close when they were never scheduled to. Closing shifts are ridiculously long and tiring. Sometimes wouldn't go home until close to 2am when closing. Also, management doesn't seem to care about employee parking and that is a big issue for the Los Angeles locations.
