Free cold bottled water. Good holiday package. Nice Christmas Party. Management listens to employees. The company gives awards based on customer recognition of an employee that fixes or prevents a costly problem that the customer comes into contact. Some of the awards have been all-paid trips for golfing. The company tries to work with the employees and salesman to create a synergistic environment. Everyone seems to have a good attitude. The company asks everyone to "play" and "make their day" that encourages a "fun"atmosphere but there is no control over the extent that this is encouraged. There will be outbursts of fun activity that is outrageous.
Cons
Pay stinks - does not measure up to industry standard. Management cares more about company image that employee satisfaction. They don't care about the individual - just the employee. The company gives awards based on customer recognition - but if you don't have interaction with the customer then you are left pretty much out of the award game. Just because I did a small thing for a customer does not mean that it took a lot of effort on my part. Work piles up because customer wants more done yesterday and the management says do it - "ask for help if you need it." But I know noone else in the company can write the programs that need to be written except for me due to database understanding.
