I have been working at Shands at the University of Florida full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great health benefits, good teaching hospital, great learning experience.

    Cons

The hospital did not plan their budget properly by building new towers, renovating unnecessary units that causes the hospital to be in a lot of debt. As a result, there are a lot of budget cuts (even though they denied it on paper, the admins acknowledged it verbally) that affected the pay, bonuses, and staffing grid. Staff morale is low in most units, and high turnover rate.
