    Pros

Location is good and easily accessible and away from NYC traffic. Non executive personnel is extremely friendly and great to work with.

    Cons

Disorganized and extremely un people friendly. Not concerned about work-life balance or needs. Top Management is ever changing with 'other than company goals as the main priority.

    Advice to Management

Need to consider employees as an asset and provide a reasonable work and life balance. Provide benefits such as extra compensation or vacation, to offset negatives of required overtime during some time periods.

I have been working at Sharp Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A Japanese company having a little share in Indian Market after more than 20 years of Launching in India. Holding no good policies for Business, Channel Partners & employees.
Not a Single Rupee Increment given to most of employees in last five years, although employees have been given charge for 3-4 posts to work.
CLOSED its business in Indian market for Consumer Electronics, also reduced product range in other groups. As mentioned in a business newspaper the company is reducing its manpower for cost cutting (result are clear in market)

    Cons

No single policy for all employees, applicable rule is MIGHT IS RIGHT, the person having power is able to do whatever he wants in his territory, senior management is keeping eyes closed and afraid of to be kicked out, nobody takes care about company and saving his own job.

    Advice to Management

If corruption is not controlled, very soon the company will have to packup from India

I have been working at Sharp Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours? Majority of the business starts on time and leaves on time.

    Cons

Where do you start? Poor management, cheap, lack of employee benefits in office, no work life balance, silo teams, expects you to work like robots, no trust, no direction, rude, excessive micromanagement. Say yes or nod will make your life easier.

    Advice to Management

Doing the same thing over and over again is not going to make the results better.

    Pros

    ...

    Advice to Management

    Reconsidération sérieuse des employés

I worked at Sharp Corporation full-time

    Pros

Great products that are very competitive. Support staff usually very helpful. Initial training was good. Decent location. Name recognition helpful in market place.

    Cons

Management tends to play favorites. Frequently felt management wasn't interested in what was best for customer or rep but what was best for their bonus or numbers.

    Advice to Management

Better sales training in field and more focus on what is best for customer. Stop trying to find ways to hide the actual costs.

I worked at Sharp Corporation full-time

    Pros

Good benefits: 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision. Lots of vacation days. Parent company (Sharp Electronics Corp) is a great company to work for, that really values their employees.

Coworkers were some of the nicest people I have worked with.

    Cons

Generally poor work environment. Excessive downsizing has lead to some people being tasked with more than they can possibly accomplish, and no assistance is offered.

Most promotions seem to be based more on personal relationships than actual job performance.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your team, they have a lot of valuable suggestions on how to improve the business. Pay attention to all of the improvements made by SEC in the past few years, and try to emulate those within the local branch.
