    Pros

At the beginning, company was AWESOME to work for. The supervisors would always be there to hear your concerns. They would keep the training up to date. The training classes were small, but the attention was there. If you needed help off the training, they would help. There were games you could play, as a way to keep the days interesting. BBQ days, fun things planned. The atmosphere was like a little family environment. Was fun to come to work. You could make friends easily. Help each other out. Stick up for one another if needed.

    Cons

After the move to Uptown, the atmosphere changed overnight. Senior reps and those with major experience, were dropping like flies. The "family friendly" environment completely went out the window. Micromanaged like crazy. Things which supervisors used to care about, were stopped. No more games. It was like the people on the floor were the little bots, and the supervisors were the bigger bots. When TSRs were voluntold to LCT, the roles completely changed. It was no longer about helping customers. It was how you could save the customer, but also what could you sell. No longer about helping who was important. If you even went an inch out of your role, you were scolded. Each day coming to work you would be in fear of losing your job. Over the silliest things. They would come down on you like a ton of bricks. If you even dared to take it up to HR, they would reverse it locally and then come down on you harder. We lost so many senior reps due to the sheer micromanagement, the stress, and just how supervisors thought they were superior to anyone else out there. The job is no longer fun. The churn is much higher than it used to be. It's no longer a "family friendly" company. Those who do stick around fear for the unknown. It's a scary place now. There is a major problem with a company, if senior reps are dropping like flies and going on stress leave, due to the stress of how they are treated. This place should be investigated for how they treat their employees. The culture is no longer there.

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking you're God. Stop micromanaging those under you. Help and support those when they need your help. Do not ignore them or try to push them out the door, if they come to you for help.

    Pros

Fun coworkers. Relatively easy work, mostly. Decent pay and benefits

    Cons

Shaw mostly promotes from within, which should be a good thing. Unfortunately, with few exceptions, most people start in the call center, which doesn't require much education. Eventually, those who don't burn out from constant angry callers, will eventually get promoted to management. Your manager isn't necessarily qualified to manage anything, they just stuck around long enough to get there. Eventually, most middle management will be fired after shaw has a bad quarter or two and needs to make their numbers for year or quarter end. It happens about every 18 months. If you stay on the phones, you can have as long a career as you can stand. Its mostly middle management that gets the boot.

Brad Shaw is a total idiot. The only reason he runs the company is because his father and brother couldn't anymore. He was next in line with the right last name and zero capabilities to run a company.

    Advice to Management

What were you thinking? You could have gone to another department

    Pros

Union, benefits, some of our customers, piece work, the pay was good when piece work. Write off expenses as an owner operator of your own vehicle.

    Cons

Corporate goons that think they know your job better than you do. Upper management try to lower your pay every year because they think we make too much.

    Advice to Management

Try working the job that techs do before assuming we make too much.
