I worked at Shaw Industries full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Management truly cares about the employees. We worked hard but knew we were all in it together.

    Cons

Work is physically demanding. I was in a plant that was not air conditioned so it was really unbearable during the summer....nevertheless, this was the best job I've ever had.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I have been working at Shaw Industries (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with our great. Shaw spends a lot of time helping you become a better employee by offering training classes. The benefits are what you would expect. The culture at Shaw and the value we place on individuals is what sets it apart from anywhere else. I started off interning with them for the past two years and have taken the next step with them after graduation. It has been a joy and I have even had the opportunity to sit in a roundtable discussion with Vance Bell.

    Cons

The only con I could think of would be the heat in the summer. It is a manufacturing environment so it is unavoidable. The Plants do many things though to help offset this with popsicles, water, and cool towels. The heat usually just last a week.

    Advice to Management

You are doing a good job so keep up the good work.
