I worked at Shelby County Public Schools part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The coworkers within the schools are supportive - the kids are great (for the most part) the pay was halfway decent but surrounding districts pay more.

    Cons

The person over the daycare (ramp coordinator)is control freak/micro-manager who waits till the last minute for everything. Zero flexibility. Passive aggressive personality. Yes, it's that bad.
I worked there for many years and I left after this person took over. The "higher ups" refuse to listen.

    Advice to Management

Take a very close look at why half the daycare staff has quit recently. That should be a big indication that there is an issue. Ask those who have worked the job what really goes on.
