    I worked at Shell full-time

    Pros

good staff and opportunities to try different disciplines in a career with shell. potential to work in different countries...although that is getting more difficult to achieve as costs are reduced

    Cons

quite a political organisation...particularly at the leadership level. this can inhibit open expression/challenge and diversity of thinking. severe cost cutting over last few years has resulted in multiple rounds of job reductions and demotivated staff

    Advice to Management

good values written down on paper..leaders need to play a prominent role in demonstrating them being applied

I worked at Shell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I can't think of any.

    Cons

Poor management that don't listen to you. Minimum wage for a lot of responsibility. I would advise anyone to NOT even consider working here. No career prospect although you will be promised that there is.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. Treat them right so that they don't want to leave. Give them the right work/life balance.

    Pros

good salary, good pension, flexible start / finish times, relaxed dress code, free onsite gym, access to wood bank a private hotel.

    Cons

The work is not intellectually stimulating, the majority of your work is "busy work" managing spread sheets, databases, online systems, creating reports power point slides or posters, etc.

    Advice to Management

Stop the corporate propaganda, get to know your staff and their work to allow you to make positive changes to reduce the wasteful work.

I have been working at Shell full-time

    Pros

WORK life balance and that is the only good things about Shell

    Cons

    * Extremely Bureaucratic as everyone was too busy managing their boss and stakeholders
    * Its a Soul Sucking company so it is not suitable for anyone who is looking to have a career development or any opportunities as your boss will be too busy taking all your credits for his/her own promotion.* Its a company are non D&I focus (even if they pretend to be) and silo thinking when nothing gets done in Shell
    * Strong bias and favouritism on their graduates even they are totally crap and dumb, they will still get all the opportunities and credits from the team members which totally demotivates good employees who are actually performing as Shell are just way toooooo biased
    * Does a lot of good talking but no idea what to do
    * No accountability and no responsibility from the management and its all about how good you can do your sweet talking.
    * Poor benefits and outdated performance management that are unfair.

    Advice to Management

Please continue the good work in Shell!

Beurocracy, eveything is very slow and inefficient, there are many jobs that are don't allow you to grow. Lack to team spirit and everyone is for themselves.
