I worked at Sheridan Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

While at Sheridan, I had an incredible supervisor who to this day has been the best I have ever had the pleasure of working for. I left only to pursue a full-time graduate degree and still stay close with those I worked with.

The work was engaging and always presented opportunities to work on new projects while developing new industry skills. My supervisor and department encouraged questions and provided a wonderful environment to work.

    Cons

During my time I really didn't experience any cons that impacted my work. The issues that arose were resolved, I didn't see any that continued to be issues.

I worked at Sheridan Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Health Insurance, 401K, nice office and location, diversity, nice friends that can help you, experience in dealing with poor management.

    Cons

I really had to walk away.Poor management but they think they are top executives. Favoritism, if you are manager's friend, you are good, you can be promoted even if you entered in the Company yesterday. The chances of promotion depend on your ability to hold in such exclusive group of people, and this is not my professional ethic at all. The training is poor and some tasks you need to figure out by yourself. Useless meeting which do not accomplish anything, a waste of time. Demanding and pressure in production specially for data-entry staffing. No recognition even if you are the best professional in your area. Incident of harassment and bullying which had to be resolved by the HR but almost nothing was changed. Low salary increase (you get peanuts). In meetings the managers constantly repeat "if you are not happy, the Company's doors are opened", this cause embarrassing and consequently no motivation to keep working there.. You need to agree with managers otherwise you are targeted. A lot of "puppet" staffs whose function is watch the lower staffs all the time, a feeling of fear to loose the job. The Company hired consultant to create a system so that they increased the percentage of production, if you didn't reach the goals, you feel threatened. The employees especially coders and others were treated unfairly except if they were manager's friend.

    Advice to Management

The CEO must know what is going on in each inch of the Company. The promotion policy must be measured through merit of each staff. Treat people equally. Stop put pressure on people that really have a good rate of quality not quantity of work. Read all reviews and rethink the Company.

    Pros

There are no pros at Sheridan.

    Cons

Terrible management, no worklife balance, unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to Management

Remove the clicks, remove toxic individuals with egos. Provide balance. If there is high turnover in a particular department investigate to see the reason.

    Pros

Unfortunately nothing positive to sat at all.

    Cons

Sheridan sees every single employee as expendable. You are used for your expertise and skills, but not valued at all for them. A terrible corporation run by terrible people. And the more malignant your personality, the higher up in the company you climb.

    Advice to Management

Terminate from the top down and rebuild entirely

I worked at Sheridan Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Laregst in industry. Possibility of new openings. Leading company. Good people. Nice building in growing area. Room for expansion. Compensation ok.

    Cons

Some say the merger will change the company. Well we are good into the first year of this merger and have seen no change except c-suite resignations. Much needed however the company could use the departure of a few more useless and disrespectful unprofessional employees. The addition of a few of these directors for certain departments who contribute zero to the department yet do everything to hold back the growth of the hard worker is infuriating. These people are the only ones advancing. The SVP of that department holds you hostage in his department and when you want to move up he starts to spread defaming information of your character and work ethic. Same goes for one particular person in the C suite. Because you didn't bow down to them the only result for you to grow is to move on, away from this company.

    Advice to Management

These people bring your company down. These people reflect negatively in the company. These people should be resigning or extinguished from the company. Let people work effectively and worry free of harassment.
