I worked at Shook Hardy & Bacon full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Training is great, benefits are good and year end bonuses were decent.

    Cons

Staffing issues at times. Workload or work product do not always reflect in raises as HR cannot possibly know what all staff is handling when the company is so large.

    Advice to Management

I would put more weight on reviews from direct staff work rather than HR file. Become more in tough with the needs of each department rather than overall firm and robot like actions as a whole.

I worked at Shook Hardy & Bacon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great training and development options available. Great central location. Beautiful office. Lots of great support through support staff.

    Cons

Not very good food in the nook. Lack of adequate communication from management and attorneys to support staff. There are quite a few bad apples within groups. Extremely cliche and lots of gossip.

    Advice to Management

Work on leadership skills on your management team. Work on mentor progress to ensure maximum success. Improve training and development processes.

I worked at Shook Hardy & Bacon

    Pros

A decent salary and benefits package; pleasant workplace and interesting work.

    Cons

everything, and I mean everything, requires filling out forms, requisitions, email permissions. No trust from organization to perform even the simplest tasks without getting lost in a bureaucracy of paperwork and procedure. Kinda like the movie "Brazil".

    Advice to Management

Please give your staff credit efficiency, decision-making and adult behavior. Stop watching over every move. Treat them like the adults they are..
