    Pros

    Medium size, exciting/fast pace and new mgmt trying to revitalize the brand and make it relevant

    Cons

    Silos between departments, general lack of planning ahead making daily execution tough, resistance to change amongst employees who have been with company many years

    Advice to Management

    Continue focusing on the rebranding. Nothing to lose here....things can only get better

    I worked at ShopHQ full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    There are absolutely none. Zero.

    Cons

    Customer Service call-times are impossible to maintain. Majority of customers calling to complain are old, entitled women and we had to address their issues in under 3 minutes or get written up. Unsympathetic and unrealistic management. Supervisors are dismissive. Computers archaic. DON'T WORK HERE! The stress isn't worth the horrible pay.

    Advice to Management

    Just CARE about the people at the bottom of the food chain. Your expectations a completely unrealistic. Your high-turnover rate is due to the stress that is causing your employees to literally break down. I've seen more than one CSR seriously concerned about the job being destructive to their lives outside of work due to anxiety. Everyday conversation during breaks was about quitting. CARE ABOUT PEOPLE!!!

    dysfunctional relationships between pyramid leaders, knee-jerk reactions to sales performance, micromanagement

    Pros

    There was a great atmosphere and many chances to advance if you were willing to commit to the company.

    Cons

    The customers were a challenging bunch, but that's common in retail and even more so, jobs where you don't see them face-to-face.

    Advice to Management

    Cash-based incentives are the way to go <3

    I have been working at ShopHQ part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible Schedule and Work From Home

    Cons

    They have created a system that obviously reward the employees who have learned to cheat the system on a daily basis. They have a new Board of Directors and our changing their name to Evine Live on February 14th. They basically used the current employees to get through the holiday season. Now that the holidays are over, they are cutting all part time employees hours to 16 hours/week and all full time employee hours to 30 hours per week (to avoid paying them benefits). They basically trained us in for one year to get through the holidays and now they must realize we will not be able to survive and will need to find new jobs. I feel very used at this point.

    Advice to Management

    Realize you do have good employees who actually do like the job and do the best they can for you. We will not be able to survive on 16 hours a week. Value the amount of training you have put into your employees and you will be starting from scratch.

    Pros

    The amount of pay and benefits are better then most places.

    Cons

    No working software programs, constant politics, no advancement oppertunities unless you know the right people, constant change in policies.

    Advice to Management

    Stop the politics. Dont throw those who have been there for a good length of time to the curb when everyone you hire only lasts barely 6 months. Stop internally promoting people who have no experience for positions and dismissing those who are qualified. Quit changing policies every other month.

    Pros

    A lot of talent, but definitely not working to the potential of what it could be. There is a lot of resistance to change and budgets have been to blame for some time.

    Cons

    Management, lack of technology, knee-jerk decision making

    Advice to Management

    Hopefully under new management things will get better.

    Pros

    Discount and free shiping that is all there was nothing else I could say that could prompt me to tell anyone to work there

    Cons

    The trainers were swearing all the time and would tell us how much they hate the software everyday one girl her breasts were showing all the time you cannot express any feelings of frusteration or you get fired you have to share desks in a very tiny room
