I worked at Shopko Stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great employees and manager to help assist and ensure customers are happy once they leave.

    Cons

Stuck without information while on vacation while store was adjusting management and employments.

    Advice to Management

I'm confused to why I wasn't able to find any information or status of the new manager at the store while the old manager has retired. I was on vacation during this period, and came back wondering where the new manager was, only to find out that there is no on-site manager, and that it was difficult for me to contact the remote manager. After a manager has finally arrived on-site, she/he told me I was fired.

    Cons

give employees more hours instead of hiring new ones

I worked at Shopko Stores part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Discount Co Workers Some Customers Quiet

    Cons

Got 2 raises in 4 years
    Low pay
    Not enough help

    Advice to Management

Care more about you employees. Reviews should be based on individual ability, not the department as a whole. My review should reflect my ability, not whether or not we met the flu shot goal. Also, should look at keeping your employees happy. You can afford to roll out a new credit card, but not give your employees raises.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Shopko Stores full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Open to new ideas that generate sales

    Cons

Senior management has too many top priorities. There aren't enough resources allocated so managers work long hours. Teammates have financial metrics that encourage the wrong behavior
