      Pros

Given decent hours sometimes Easy hiring process - easy resume experience to start out with Union 25c raise every 6 months?

      Cons

Managers do not take action against legitimate complaints Easy hiring process means anyone can be hired, including difficult and unprofessional individuals/high turnout as well Equipment is outdated, never replaced No discounts or real perks No growth Bad union dental and eye insurance (but at least you get it, I guess?)

      Pros

I love working in customer service. Cashier is a pretty straightforward job, and it’s nice to chat with the regular customers.

      Cons

Very hard work. Standing there taking upwards of 200 customers in 3 hours for not so good pay. Very stressful , and not so fun to have people yelling at you because you’re not going fast enough. Customers will think you are dumb in this job and will try to correct you on everything. The managers of the whole store are really nice, but front end managers do too much, getting mad about calling off, micromanaging, sending too many customers to your register at one time, not letting you use the bathroom, wont come over for long periods of time if you send a message that you need help. A lot of gossip happens in this store among employees. It’s not a bad job or a bad company, I think the thornwood store just needs some work. Also they literally hire anyone and they hire as young as 16 so if you need money and a job fast u know where to go lol

      Pros

nice coworkers, don’t need previous work experience

      Cons

horrible management, rude runner ups, rude customers, short breaks (only 15 minutes even on a 6 hour shift) , don’t let you go home on time and don’t pay overtime . also pay is way too low for the people you have to deal with. they also ignore your availability and don’t care if you’re a college student
