    Pros

Decent benefits, free food, some of the people are great.

    Cons

Sr. leadership is a joke. Micromanagement is all over the organization makes for a toxic work environment. Pay is way under the market rate.

    Advice to Management

Hire better sr. leaders that actually know how to scale up a company.

I worked at Showpad full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Most people are hard workers.
Lots of offices to possibly travel and work from

    Cons

Leadership team struggles to stay on message leaving the company unfocused and you'll often find yourself working hard without actual achievements.

Isn't a safe environment for women, people of color or LGBT people

Product does very specific things well, but struggles to gain larger appeal. Tough in a competitive market

    Advice to Management

What you've done at other companies can't always plug-and-play. Learn and listen before you act
CEO shouldn't threaten to fire groups of people. Either do it or don't do it
Make a plan and share it
Take time to create a respectful culture for long term results
    Create process, create career opportunities

    Pros

Stellar supporting cast. Senior leadership tested everything during a crucial time to test - growing the US office. It was amazing to see the founders juggle a multi-national operation working tirelessly to maintain the focus of a growing organization across multiple projects. In today's information age, I have never seen such effective distribution of essential information on a need to know basis. Superb bp and knowledge transfer. Louis and Pieterjan are superstars.

    Cons

Group think. However, even that was well done. Growing pains happens. Well managed.

    Advice to Management

Working as a unified global team
The market is catching up to the future the founders saw

    Cons

Competition has cleared out to a few well funded rivals

    Advice to Management

    Pros

The company has an incredibly strong product which is what holds everything together.

    Cons

Due to rapid change and high growth goals, the companies culture is suffering. There has been a history of overpromising and underdelivering to internal stakeholders.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your people. Use their insights. There is lots of new management coming in and the people at the ground-level are the ones that make Showpad a special place. Learn to under-promise, and over-deliver.

    - Two CEO's (one acts as CPO so the technical scope is divided between them) create a self-critical culture, that permeates from exec to middle mgmt level
    - High performing culture, ambitious targets

    Cons

    - Growing pains you may expect when scaling to 300 employees globally
    - Processes are being adapted quickly, you need to keep up and keep motivating others
    - A lot of new hires in a short time created an unstable period that is settling down now

    Beautiful office. Overall nice people.

    Cons

Weekly termination or resignation seems like the norm in the San Francisco office. Senior Management needs major improvement. Morale is not great.
