I worked at Shure full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most employees are helpful and support each other. Engineering teams are great. Generally relaxing atmosphere and flexible hours are plus.

    Cons

Not really in cutting edge technology. Too many product lines in mic systems. Too much effort in maintaining current production. New product development priority sometimes questionable.

I have been working at Shure full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Fantastic company! A lot of opportunities for those who work hard and are good and fostering relationships. The organization is founded on collaboration and teamwork. People have a passion for the brand and the products, which feeds into its culture. The Executive Team is approachable and many have made their way into leadership roles through internal career growth. Even our CEO started as an entry level engineer.

    Cons

We are growing rapidly and in a period of change. Not really a con, but people who join need to be adaptable

I have been working at Shure full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Been here a long time and still like it. New Manager came here this year and really cares about us and the Company. We now have meetings that let us know what's going on and how we are doing. CEO still shows up once in a while to say hi.

    Cons

None I can think of now.

I have been working at Shure full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    * Positive atmosphere * Coworkers who are relaxed, but capable and dedicated to good work * Starting up you get a good amount of time to get comfortable before you get big tasks * Depends on your department, but I ultimately love my managers as coworkers and people, very happy to work for them as they do their best to support us * Lots of capable people who have been here for a long time as they like the culture, seems like a great place to work and have a family * Work-life balance is very well done * If you're into music you will be surrounded by hardcore audiophiles and musicians in the office

    Cons

    * 401K bonuses take three years to vest, match is vested ASAP though * Not true in my department, but I have seen how obscenely long it has taken other people to get promoted in their departments, some good people have been lost to this after years of top notch work * Work-life balance is ideal, but is reflected in pay (this is a pro and con), it's a great place to work and be challenged, but it's not going to pay you and work you down like an Apple or Google * Company is growing, which is good, but some old conservative practices can be held on to that seem dated
