    I worked at Shyp full-time

    Pros

Fun to kick it in the office. Not a lot of pressure on deadlines or numbers. People are really understanding if things are just too hard to figure out. Good snacks, beer in the office, dogs. Flexible work from home situation. Really good pay & lots of promotions.

    Cons

Seems like the people at the top might not know too much about shipping or tech. Lots of long speeches, but didn't feel like there was a strong message in there- confusing.

    Advice to Management

Maybe get some opinionated upper management with tech background asap? Seems like every decision is 100% driven by the COO, and no one else speaks up. Or maybe their opinion doesn't matter.

I have been working at Shyp full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Best people I have worked with excluding the so called executives. Smart, focused, down to earth and get work done sort of people. It was a pleasure working with people with such high caliber.

      Cons

Executives! The CEO Kevin is a good person and genuinely cares about his employees well being if you are a senior employee, the rest don't exist. The rest of the Executives are the reason why all legacy employees are leaving. They are only focused on what's shiny and what they think it's a great idea. Input and ideas from other departments are ignored and then later realized as their own ideas and everyone clasp.

      Advice to Management

Help build moral by getting rid of some unwanted/useless executives and move someone up internally that actually cares about the product and longevity of the company.

      I worked at Shyp

      Pros

The whole concept is pretty interesting and helpful for the public.

      Cons

Operations management says one thing and does another. I was promised full time hours upon hire, and eventual benefits, but neither ever happened. In fact, hours were cut and benefits were non-existent for satellite drivers. Favoritism runs the way they do things. Salary was lower than in the advertisement.

      Advice to Management

Communicate clearly and do away with the politics. Right now nothing you say to your employees can be trusted.

      Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Shyp for more than a year

      Pros

Most of your co-workers are nice friendly people.

      Cons

Management-unfocused and indifferent.  Reduction in hours.  Staggered shifts, staffing the warehouse with one or two people.  Minimum wage, low hours, no PTO, PT only with no healthcare benefits and growth.  A 50 cent raise after 1 year.  Poor healthcare coverage-high deductibles/co-insurance for FT. Nepotism and non-existent employee morale. Revolving door.  Items left in the warehouse for 4+ days. Laying...

      Advice to Management

Stop lining exec's pockets with investors' funds, padding ego's with ideas of expansion, and actually do something to save the company with it.  Lower exec's pay instead of laying off staff that does the everyday work or your business is non-operational.  Learn to make money, sustain good employees, and drive in business without giving away your services for free.  Bring something new to the table instead of services...

      I worked at Shyp full-time

      Pros

Can get a great title quickly if you play the political game. There are a few good people left - for now.

      Cons

Nobody is excited to be at this company. Most talented people are leaving. The exec team is incapable of relating to the employees, and seriously, deeply manipulative and political. This might work at a company 5 x the size but it doesn't work here No growth or business development at all - just endlessly being distracted by new ideas that never seem to work out.

      Advice to Management

Give a large raise to every single person you value, before they quit
