I worked at Sibley Memorial Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The Staff is very Pleasant

    Cons

Management had problems understanding processes to ever help nor listen to front line employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your front line employees, who put in the work with having difficulty improving processes. When you don't, there is the potential to lose talent that can be an asset to the organization that can't ever be duplicated nor replaced. Surveys and word of mouth are POWERFUL and it doesn't have the potential to ever go away. And it does co$t to train new employees. Your CUSTOMERS PAYS YOU and Your Front Line Employees Provides Some Type Of Service For All. CEO and Management do your due diligence to help and listen to your FRONT LINE EMPLOYEES with good intentions for ALL TO WIN.

I have been working at Sibley Memorial Hospital full-time

    Pros

Decent pay and work/life balance, freedom

    Cons

Since I started working here I have been bullied and harassed. Male coworkers are blatant and truly do not care that they are saying wholly inappropriate things that make you uncomfortable.

The loudest, most obnoxious people here run the show and bully everyone around them.

Work doesn’t actually get done. Everyone just talks about it, blames others, and/or complains.

Management is a joke that passes everything (literally everything) on to those under them even when it is their responsibility and there is constant turnover in upper leadership.

    No opportunity for growth.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to manage your own responsibilities and figure out what is going on right under your nose. Act quicker instead of waiting around for tasks to fall to others and enforce a culture of respect. Punish those who are unable to act professionally and try to make the workplace bearable and harassment-free for everyone.
