    Pros

I don't think there is one in working for people that lie to you and mistreat you everyday. Instead of trying to help bring the best out of employees they focus on the smallest of things to mistreat you.

    Cons

Management is a joke that can't do the job of bringing work rather you beat down on the poor employees that are trying to perform their job to the best capability

    Advice to Management

Listen more to your employees rather than treating them like crap

    Pros

Pay is above average, company is large and diverse (industry-wise, not people), so able to ride through localized downturns.

    Cons

No respect for individual employees. All employees are replaceable cogs in the wheel. Treat employees as numbers, not people. Very German-centric upper management.

I have been working at Siemens Energy & Automation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Staff is multicultural and friendly. Evening or weekend work is usually not needed or requested, and there is flexibility for your working hours. Work-life balance definitely exists. You will get a small raise every year if the company can afford it. Bonuses are rare. The benefits are quite good, you can include your family and get life insurance, disability insurance. long term care, and 401K match on top of the usual health benefits.

    Cons

Little to no training is provided for the job you are hired for. The company does not really promote career development, unless you take action yourself you may do the same kind of job until you retire. Training, if any, is provided within the company. It is still a mystery to me what is being considered when it comes to promotions, but skills does not seem to be a part of it.

    Advice to Management

Improve the cross functional training for your employees.

I worked at Siemens Energy & Automation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Siemens is a very good company to have as an employer. I was part of a company that was acquired by Siemens and the company did everything in their power to make the integration into Siemens a good and painless one. I worked closely with operations in Germany and found everyone their to be friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed working with them very much. I felt lucky to be a part of such a good team.

Even after being forced to leave due to the reduction of remote R&D sites, I still look back upon my time at Siemens fondly. The company did everything that they could to make the separation easy on us.

I have a great deal of respect for everyone at Siemens.

    Cons

Like all companies, there is localized cronyism, and that should be monitored more closely by corporate to prevent it from adversely affecting the organization

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you did with your Mason Ohio operations.
