I have been working at Siemens Healthineers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    -Siemens brand widely recognized
-Market share in many product categories

    Cons

-Mediocrity is tolerated, almost seems encouraged. This is at every level of the organization
-Corners cut everywhere. You can tell the tools and resources you are provided are the cheapest they could find.
-Run the other way if you are looking to advance in an upward direction. This is not the place for you.

    Advice to Management

At this point you are neither a customer-centric organization nor an employee-centric workplace. Focus on fixing these issues. Good personnel and valued-customers are leaving your brand.

I have been working at Siemens Healthineers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great for entry level candidates who want to gain experience.

    Cons

At least for the Los Angeles site, there is no opportunity for career growth. Many people are stuck in the same position for sometimes 10+ years despite talent.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and take them seriously! There is a reason why this company has a problem retaining talent.

I worked at Siemens Healthineers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Yearly bonuses are good. PTO is generous. Because the company is so large globally, there are many perks. When ever I told people where I worked, there was recognition and respect for the company.

    Cons

Hardest thing was always working under a cloud that constantly focused on the dollar. People in management that should not have been in management. A constant competitive environment by management.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to relax. Management needs to stop competing with each other.

I have been working at Siemens Healthineers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Industry leader in technology inception, design and implementation. Equipment reliability is excellent. Customers at first do not like the software but in a short time, prefer it to any other.

    Cons

Divisions can be disconnected. Not good at sharing information between business units.

    Advice to Management

Keep your best people. Do not restructure the company by ridding the company of the higher salaries and ages. This causes customer dissatisfaction and problems with the younger and less-experienced engineers to take on great pressure to perform at a high level.

Good Benefits. Lots of resources to learn most techniques needed to work in BioScience. Great associates to work with. Easy to get along with others.

    Cons

Old equipment is constantly breaking down or out of compliance.
Fear of layoffs, cGMP and GDP not taken seriously enough. Management is not so open to constructive critcism. Salaries are lower than other BioScience in the area.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to employees.

    Pros

    they offer:
    fair pay
    great benefits
    training sessions
    career and knowledge advancement opportunities
    great products
    knowledgeable peers
on the edge of innovative ideas

    Cons

it is a large company so that in order for you to advance it is more important who you know and whether they have your interest in mind. Most often you find each person is focused on their own personal agenda rather than the big picture for other employees or the company
decisions can be made with ill informed information. At times management are told what they want to hear and do not challenge the information

    Advice to Management

in making big decisions, do not rely on the information given rather challenge the sources to make sure it is to benefit of the company rather than an individual's own agenda. training sessions provided for management is not sufficient. if there is a need for management styles to align with Siemens way, reinforcement of the trained skills is very crucial and that should be enforced from top to bottom
