I have been working at Siemens PLM Software full-time (More than 8 years)

Flexible hours, work from home, great managers.

    Cons

    Ugly and boring office environment

I worked at Siemens PLM Software as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, flexible lunch, good bosses. Overall a solid work experience, especially given that all three of my internships were in completely different fields.

    Cons

Took some time to get my computer and ID. Took more time to get a login. Unprepared for my internship, even after two other semesters of having worked there and still being in the system.

    Advice to Management

Make sure everything is ready for interns before they arrive, so they can be put to work as soon as possible rather than after sitting there for a couple weeks.

I have been working at Siemens PLM Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits aren't too bad compared to other software consultant positions.
When you travel you get to keep your miles/points.
You are given the chance to make an impact regardless of your experience or job title.
You get to see how many different companies in different industries are run......and get to say "glad I don't work there!"

    Cons

Consultants spend their life on the road. If you aren't in front of a customer being billable, you are on the bench in danger of loosing your job.
Some positions don't have to travel (help desk, product dev, local consultants, etc) and there's a huge culture problem because HR and management have no clue how much some people travel vs others.
Does a VP have so much free time they can pick apart my expense report and wonder why I took a 3pm flight home instead of $50 cheaper flight at 8:30pm?
Less than half of the open positions are actually posted and are usually filled before being posted.

    Advice to Management

Realize some people have ZERO work-life balance while others can sit around the office all day doing next to nothing.

I worked at Siemens PLM Software full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nothing that comes to mind. Mostly negative experience with rude, annoying people who gossip all day long and do nothing work related.

    Cons

This company is header south, way too many middle managers who dont work. Managers that don't do anything except make excuses as to why they cant ever seem to get anything accomplished.

    Advice to Management

    Get a clue!

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    Low stress
Since it is a large company, you can see your products being used in the market.

    Cons

    Unorganized
It is located far from the city in a remote location

I have been working at Siemens PLM Software full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Convenient location, nice atmosphere, for the most part great people but you still have your troublemakers like every place does.

    Cons

Low yearly merit increases, women are the minority here, certain benefits offered but they won't approve you to use, no career development, no promotions, they will change your title, but won't increase your salary. No company outings i.e. company picnic, Christmas party. Little or no incentives, bonus's or recognitions.

    Advice to Management

Recognize all of your employees when they are doing a good job, not only when something is wrong. Know and understand their job position, what they do, what they are supposed to do and what they are not supposed to do.

I have been working at Siemens PLM Software as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can have a very flexible schedule. The workers are nice and everyone seems to get along. The software seems to be good as well as long as you get comfortable with it.

    Cons

The training was very tedious. It's located pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the commute can get boring if traveling from Cincinnati. The software is not for everyone, I'm not really a CAD guy but that's exactly what this job entails.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. I like the job

    Pros

stable environment. no many things to take care, besides your real work.

    Cons

Management is not systematic, but depends on your manager. Low payment.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the reviews of workers. Do not just read the data in the table.
