I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Work life balance is good here.
    - Flexible timings and transport service is good. They have plenty of buses from all over bangalore at different time slots.

    Cons

    - Salary
    - Employee benefits
    - Still working on old technologies. Very reluctant to start with modern age technologies.

    Advice to Management

Consider knowledge over head count. What I have found here is that Siemens management is more worried about maintaining head count in a team than good resources. I guess all this is for getting more billing. But this culture is not good for long term.

I worked at Siemens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Relatively competitive salary
Benefits for wide range of people

    Cons

No flexibility in working hours (come on, it is a backoffice job)
    Poor Management
Admin staff treated as expendable workers (even more expendable then technical staff, ie engineers)
Covering for sick colleagues - for months on end - with no extra pay (not even overtime)
Same as above even with sick leaves planned in advance (where the management had every opportunity to hire a temp cover)

    Advice to Management

People join companies but leave managers (Ireland, Europe)

I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are lots of opportunities to learn. You can have a good work Life balance. There are interesting projects to work on. The company's business is very diverse so you can move between fields. You can have a stable career.

    Cons

They're always located in small cities.
    Pay is average
    Benefits are average
    Software not well documented
    Time difference with german colleagues

    Advice to Management

It would be better if offices were based in the cities and pay and benefits were better. It would be great if software was better documented. Some places have a very limited budget and hard working employees dont always get rewarded in their performance reviews. They get an average grade in favor of seniors.

    Pros

Great offices, some really smart people to work with, good growth opportunities, especially if you have good internal networks. Training is good too. A good company to have on your CV.

    Cons

Parking, politics - can be a case of who you know when it comes to opportunities and promotions. Not as flexible as you would think regarding work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Try to create better collaboration between functions and departments. Encourage managers to hold skip meetings so that they can get to know their employees better.
