    The culture at Siemens encourages innovation and allows you explore your dreams. You are exposed to the wonderful world of power generation

    You work in cubicles. The office environment could be more welcoming

    Siemens is a great employer with excellent benefits.

    The company is currently downsizing to comply with forecasted budget and many services are being sent over to Costa Rica.

    Pros

    Flexible scheduling to accommodate the work-life balance.
    No assigned cubicles, flex seating allows employees to intermingle with coworkers outside of their department.

    Cons

    Primarily hire contractors then hire as permanent employees, although I understand the cost for this is much less on the business side.

    I have been working at Siemens full-time

    Pros

    Great pay, independence, actually feel useful and valued. This isn't a go get me coffee type of internship. I feel like a real part of the company.

    Cons

    People are spread out across the country which makes lots of travel, so the office isn't always filled with people and isn't very lively

    Pros

    6% 401k matching program after 1 year of employment. Up to 25% 401k contribution allowed. Work 8 months and make $50k a year. Able to pocket a lot of per diem as they pay $48 a day for food and flat rate for lodging. Able to find lodging at much less than what per diem is paid.

    Cons

    When on assignment you'll be working 60-84 hours per week. Very fast paced work environment. Must be able to multitask and be organized. Must be able to travel 6-8 months a year.
