I worked at Signet Armorlite full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some good people at the home office trying very hard to do the right thing for the customers. Great history of innovation.

    Cons

Competition is tough. Company support not as strong as it could be. There are some channel conflicts that can hinder growth.

I worked at Signet Armorlite full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

In the past a very cohesive sales team .

In past years, a super company with a camaraderie and can do sales teams and sales management.

    Cons

Field Sales Management uneducated, micromanaging with no ability to make critical decisions.
Executive management believes in turn and burn field sales people.

    Pros

SA is wonderful and those who are internal in CA work incredibly hard with a small/mighty staff. A solid universally known brand, Kodak, and its products. Marketing support.

    Cons

Corporate management by the parent company is lacking/uncaring, the focus is more on their primary brands rather than the most recognizable one. Restrictions on sales staff where product can go to earn a paycheck. Late product/technology updates and super soft product launches.

    Advice to Management

Hire experienced/caring managers who actually want to make a difference, not ones from the "management pool" who really didn't ever do the job they're "managing". Hard to get/make sales numbers for the territory as reps can't route business to any lab in the US like other well know brands can. Put your heart into this company, employees can tell when you're just making it through the day rather than making the most of the day.

I worked at Signet Armorlite full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great products, great president/sales secretary - Victoria. Customer service reps worked hard to answer questions field reps had & accounts. Enjoyed calling on accounts.

    Cons

President of company no respect for sales, boss was an idiot. Lacked training. Reduce sales territory so manageable for representatives. Improve sell sheets.

    Advice to Management

    Respect & encourage employees.

    Pros

Pay is decent, location is nice

    Cons

Squeezing blood from a rock, everyone stressed out, overworked, and on the verge of a nervous breakdown. 10 women to do the job of 30.

    Advice to Management

Ease up on your staff before they go nuts

    Pros

Overall friendly people, most of the products are good, the Kodak brand is well recognized and has a lot of potential.

    Cons

Senior management is uneducated and inept. Old school philosophies. No employee performance review process, no training programs, no defined values or vision, low pay compared to similar jobs, very little opportunity for personal or professional growth, very few sales reps last more than a year .The company is not respected within the industry.
