Incredible Place to Work
Feb 25, 2023 - Vice President in Fairlawn, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
IT at Signet Jewelers is an incredible place to work. We are using interesting technologies and for me, I am free to create a vision for my team and delivery on that vision. The hours are flexible, benefits are strong and the leadership at Signet is the best I have ever worked for.
Cons
The two biggest downsides to Signet in my mind are the budgeting processing (multiple layers and repetition) and of course the intense support periods around Christmas. That said, it is management and these cons don't dent the pros.

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!
May 12, 2023 - Customer Service RepresentativeII in Akron, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
THERE ARENT ANY PROS ABOUT THIS COMPANY
Cons
Where should I start…for 1 don’t test positive for COVID or any other virus that will have you weak and unable to work, especially if you’re working from home because you will be penalized. Especially if you are a seasonal employee. They love you and welcome you with open arms until the don’t need you as much or until a major holiday has passed. Then you become lower than the bottom of their shoes! The higher ups are lazy asf, if you don’t close a case to their liking they will email and send it right back to you. Some of the supervisors hardly assist you with cases. They don’t give you complete access to all the apps you need. Your phone rings back to back, they expect you to troubleshoot customers problems and handle cases at the same time. Oh and if you have kids who get sick and you call out of work more than 2 days, get ready to have a dependability meeting. This company doesn’t give you sick time, you have to be hired in to basically get all the “perks” the other employees get. If you have stomach issues or take meds that causes you to make frequent trips to the bathroom…don’t apply to this job! If your not 1 for people yelling at you over something that’s totally not your fault….THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU!!

Overall, a decent place to work.
May 31, 2023 - ECommerce SpecialistRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great place to get a foot in the door Little qualifications necessary for advancement
Cons
The company is filled with people that don't know what they are doing. Management ends up not being helpful. Since a lot of people do not know what they are doing, they end up making mistakes, which makes it more difficult for everybody.
- Current Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
They say a lot of great stuff. There are Kool-Aid parties where they boast how wonderful you are and how hard you work and how well the company did.
Cons
Non-existent bonuses, lackluster raises even for top performers. Rewards for a job well done is more work and unless you are "in" the click, dont think about moving up. Signet are takers and will continue to take until you've had enough and leave.

Never hated working for a company more
May 22, 2023 - Jewelers Apprentice in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Sure you get benefits, but only if they keep you past 90 days after their busy holiday season without them coming up with reasons to fire you that are hardly fair.
Cons
They will preach about inclusivity in all the onboarding videos, yet it is one of the least neurodivergent friendly jobs to work in the world. You are expected to come up with questions (ones that someone with little-to-no prior jewelry knowledge would not normally think of) instead of having a jeweler actually teach you. You are expected to adjust to their god awful computer system within a couple of days. Not to mention, you WILL be blamed for not asking enough confirmation if things go wrong even if you are new and made a simple mistake and should have been monitored more heavily in the first place. The training process is overwhelming and everything is thrown at you fairly quickly so if you aren’t a super duper fast learner then good luck. I was never asking for hand-holding, but a little guidance would have been helpful. Did I mention they will ignore you preferred pronouns and nickname? And that if you are a minute late for valid reasons you will be locked out? And you only get a 30 minute lunch break? Also that your boss will talk to you like a child? Oh and that you will have to get up at the crack of dawn if you plan on commuting more than 45 minutes because the hours are ridiculous? Not to mention your schedule will never be set in stone and it changes weekly with the most random days off sometimes.

Akron and Dallas brands
Feb 27, 2023 - Customer Care Representative in Akron, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The ability to work from home.
Cons
The company hired us on as seasonal employees with the chance of being hired in if positions were available at the end of the season. My class was dual trained on both brands instead of one as they typically hire on for. We went through 4 weeks of training not even given the ability to access the several platforms we would need to utilize to help customers. After months of abuse from angry customers, passing every evaluation and being told how amazing I was doing, I still was told that I could not be guaranteed a hired in position as they did not know if there would be positions available. It was brought to my attention that the company was hiring a new training class to start for a full time hired in position receiving more pay and immediate benefits. When I questioned why I was still not offered the position to be hired in I was told to still be patient and they would let me know if positions were available. After being completely lied to, I decided I would not like to work for a company that would choose to keep me stringing on after working so hard for them during their peak season.

Worst Job I’ve Ever Had
Jan 13, 2023 - Customer Service RepresentativeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Working from home, understanding and flexible with scheduling if part time, they provide equipment
Cons
Customer Service Agents are treated like shields that take the brunt of angry customer complaints due to the poor running of the company. For serious issues, we aren’t given the tools to actually help customers but instead have to escalate them and can’t give them a time frame for when they’ll receive a response. The company promises items to arrive by a specific day and then especially around the holidays completely drops the ball, leaving agents to deal with verbal abuse from customers who’s orders wont arrive in time. Supervisors claim to be there to help but in many cases could be rude and unhelpful and would brush you off when you really need help. Training is long and a joke, after 4 weeks none of my group really knew what we were doing once we got to taking calls. Extremely long hours daily leaving no room for a personal life or a work/life balance. You’re not allowed to disagree or criticize ridiculous company polices when speaking with guests which makes the guest mad at you for things out of your control. This job destroyed my mental health.

Great hire experienced on an awesome team!
Apr 19, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Those within my direct organization are great to work with. I feel like they genuinely care or are curious about what is going on outside of work and what things could affect my work. There is a lot of collaboration within my team and closely related teams. I have a lot of flexibility with how I do my work and have great support resources. Pay is competitive!
Cons
There are a lot of teams that are spread across the organization and it can be difficult at times knowing the priority of certain tasks. This is likely a learning curve that will be overcome with tenure.
