    I worked at Sikorsky full-time

    Pros

A great environment to work in for those who have a military background or even just an interest in supporting our military through the important work done at this company.

    Cons

It can sometimes feel like you're working for the government versus being in the private sector but not a deterrent.

    Advice to Management

Be more intentional at recognizing your internal talent by actively promoting employees or putting them in meaningful l, progressive rotations.

    Pros

Good benefits, large selection of internal opportunities, wide selection of colleagues to learn from.

    Cons

Politics get in the way of growth opportunities, micro-managers.

    Advice to Management

Allow supervisors to be reviewed by their employees, would wean out the micromanagement and politics that tend to hurt the employees

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great product; exposure to lean manufacturing. Lots of opportunity to move around to different areas. Many smart people work there.

    Cons

Benefits we’re great; old school military type leadership. HR had very bad upper management; too data focused - spent time collecting data when the time should have been spent fixing issues

    I worked at Sikorsky full-time

    Pros

school time off and tuition reimbursement

    Cons

Worse than DMV, Sikorsky holds such pride on their culture and "people". It is all a lie, be prepared to be treated worse than at a DMV. Terrible communication, people are best at keeping information so they can look better. Terrible culture, rude behavior is promoted by leadership. I'm surprised more people aren't taking legal action, managers are abusive!! The list continues....

    Advice to Management

If you are going to tell the "public" you have great culture, LIVE by that. DON'T LIE. Don't promotes bad behavior. A "leader" (which Sikorsky has ZERO knowledge of) should NOT promote bad behavior, offensive behavior. The "leaders" at Sikorsky are abusive!!

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Easy work and job security

    Cons

Micro managing, bureaucratic environment run by people who have been there for 30+ years. Overall the intelligence level of managers and employees in general is low. High influx of nepotism. Do not focus on proper training of employees or intellectual growth.

    Advice to Management

Stop yelling at each other and actually focus on the matter at hand. Stop worrying about trivial things like coming to work 5 minutes late.

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunity is there if you are so inclined to that type of work. Office work, staring at computer screens all day, every day. Answering questions about why union employees won't do their job and how you intend to accomplish your tasks even if the union mooks refuse to turn a wrench.

    Cons

Company promotes working together in a lean environment, but it is actually an indoctrinated society of drones working 60+ hours a week, sitting in meetings, clapping when the President of the corporation makes a rah rah speech, It's actually emasculating to work there as a white male, watching less talented minorities get promoted well beyond their abilities. Yes, a company vested in reverse discrimination. If you rearrange the letters of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, it spells "sell your soul to the devil".

    Advice to Management

Dump union labor like the bad habit it is. But that will never happen, as the headquaters is located in the the Peoples Republic of Connecticut ( a commie pinko deomcrap state run by progressive Richard Craniums)

I have been working at Sikorsky full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Grear Flex time option to work around personal needs, 9-80 schedule, employee engagement organizations, holidays, friendly environment, food vendors, cafe improvments, work flexibility.

    Cons

Benefit are getting worse each year. Next year will be challenging now that LM slashed our paid time off down to almost nothing compared to what we used to have.
