I worked at Sikorsky as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good pay for an intern. There is a large variety of positions to switch to. Very interesting product.

    Cons

Very stagnent and dull office environment. Better description of rolls should be sought after. Shouldn't hire so many interns when they don't plan on hiring any for full time positions.

    Advice to Management

Try to connect more with the people you work with.

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is descent for a large corporation if you have years of experience and at least 4 years of college

    Cons

The walk from the parking lot to the building is a long walk and then the walk through the building to your desk is further

    Advice to Management

None. I have no words for management. Sikorsky was bought by Lockheed and most of management positions have retired or left as their positions were no longer needed.

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Program managers have full authority along with high level of responsibility. Many programs run into millions of dollars and there is a good level of delegation of authority to respective CAMs

    Cons

Internal processes especially export controls are very rigorous but at times they are too onerous and too long to process which delays the delivery of spare parts.

    Advice to Management

Learn the business and understand the customer by getting better involved in every aspect of the business not just by depending on internal reviews.
