I have been working at Sikorsky as an intern

    Pros

With the right boss you'll be able to do a bunch of different true engineering and technical jobs throughout the summer

    Cons

You might get stuck doing non-technical work if you don't make an effort to ask for new assignments

    Advice to Management

It would be good to ensure that intern supervisors are providing enough work to interns. I was lucky to have things to do, but some of my coworkers were not so fortunate

I have been working at Sikorsky full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The mission is to bring people home everywhere, every time. This makes it rewarding and satisfying to support our daily objectives. There seems to be lots of new opportunities to collaborate across Lockheed and likely new career opportunities for those interested in other challenges.

    Cons

There has been a lot of transition after Sikorsky was acquired by Lockheed, but there has been good and positive communication throughout the year.

    Advice to Management

Preserve the brand heritage and the culture. It makes Sikorsky effective and a great place to work.

I have been working at Sikorsky full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The product that we produce is an amazing aircraft. I am proud to work on the helicopters that we make. My coworkers in the engineering group are supportive and are great to bounce ideas off.

    Cons

I do not have many downsides to list about this company. I am happy to be working here. The government training that is required for certain programs can be tedious but it is necessary.

    Cons

To be honest there are not many cons, perhaps the lack of reassurance when transitioning to Lockheed Martin from UTC.

    Advice to Management

Issue with the Human Resources Department when trying to schedule visiting time as well as application submission.
