    Pros

Family oriented company with great history.

    Cons

There is a little bit of unpredictability since the company was only acquired by Lockheed Martin last year.

I worked at Sikorsky as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good pay for an intern. There is a large variety of positions to switch to. Very interesting product.

    Cons

Very stagnent and dull office environment. Better description of rolls should be sought after. Shouldn't hire so many interns when they don't plan on hiring any for full time positions.

    Advice to Management

Try to connect more with the people you work with.

I worked at Sikorsky full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is descent for a large corporation if you have years of experience and at least 4 years of college

    Cons

The walk from the parking lot to the building is a long walk and then the walk through the building to your desk is further

    Advice to Management

None. I have no words for management. Sikorsky was bought by Lockheed and most of management positions have retired or left as their positions were no longer needed.

I have been working at Sikorsky full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The mission is to bring people home everywhere, every time. This makes it rewarding and satisfying to support our daily objectives. There seems to be lots of new opportunities to collaborate across Lockheed and likely new career opportunities for those interested in other challenges.

    Cons

There has been a lot of transition after Sikorsky was acquired by Lockheed, but there has been good and positive communication throughout the year.

    Advice to Management

Preserve the brand heritage and the culture. It makes Sikorsky effective and a great place to work.

I have been working at Sikorsky as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good people to work for and with. You can learn a lot and contribute a lot. I enjoyed my time at Sikorsky very much.

    Cons

    Two year limit for Contractors,

    Advice to Management

The 2 year rule for contractors is a constant drain of experience to the Sikorsky system of engineering and engineering release processes. Training and tossing is an open and running wound.
