I worked at Sila Solutions Group full-time

    Pros

Excellent place to build relationships with fellow technical and non-technical professionals. Client work is largely onsite and located a reasonable distance from the home offices.

    Cons

Culture of the company has shifted focus as upper management attempts to expand footprint. Lack of communication from middle management.

    Advice to Management

Require more transparency with middle management. Return focus to consultants and quality people.

I worked at Sila Solutions Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Nice company culture, a lot of company-wide events to bond every one
    * Interesting colleagues, easy to find someone sharing similar interests as you
    * Great work life balance
    * Work is challenging, a lot of opportunities to take initiatives
    * Managers are extremely nice and helpful, so you can start to know different industries

    Cons

    * Get feedback from management could be slow
    * Every one tries to be a project manager in the future (could be a pro, depends)
    * Too quiet in the office from Mon to Thurs
    * Not really sure where the company wants to go in the long run
    * More gov contracts and fewer commercial projects (could be a pro, depends)
    * Turn-over rate increased in the past year

    Advice to Management

    * No job title is still a weird thing.
    * More transparent especially when people get the chance to choose project not assigned a project

Great management. Really take good care of employees. Employees are bright, talented, and do not have condescending attitudes like some other consulting firms. Full pay while on the bench.

    Cons

Only one client in the Seattle area.

    Advice to Management

We need additional clients in the Seattle area. As a consultant I am interested in learning about and working in different industries.

    Pros

Sila is a great place to work. The people as are the benefits which is rare with a consulting firm! There is always someone who can help you if you need it. They offer training (paid for) and have employees present on various topics so others can learn. They also support many charities and there are alot of opportunies to volunteer. Alot of fun company events!

    Cons

Only one major client in the Seattle area, but they are working on adding more

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Sila Solutions Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have never come across a company that has such a people-first culture as Sila - particularly one that lives by their words as Sila does. The amount of experience you can get and potential growth is a reason alone why Sila is so great - the people, peers, and leadership add even more to it's appeal to me.

    Cons

It's hard to come up with cons for Sila - the experience has been so positive.

    Advice to Management

Continue living the people-first approach and working towards increased transparency
