    Fantastic people, good products, customer loyalty, reasonable packages and benefits

    Cons

    Abysmal CEO and COO. Too many Execs with absolutely no understanding of the HPC business

    Never ever be Execs again

    Great people, good salary, unlimited time off policy

    Cons

    SGI was recently acquired by HPE. If your job wasn't eliminated, you will become just a number.
    SGI "temporarily" discontinued 401k match months prior to acquisition, then never offered a retroactive match once acquisition was announced.

    Great technology and fun people to work with.

    Health Insurance options are less than stellar and often frustrating for internal HR staff.

    Really poor upper management. How do you go from $770 mil in sales to 500 ml in 1 year.

    Worst Board of Directors ever assembled in the history of IT Industry.

    Great atmosphere prior to purchase by Rackable systems - different attitude after purchase (2010 or so)

    Cons

    Was a difficult environment to compete in - esp. when company was struggling and product was getting very old (2011). Not sure what they are doing now (2016)

    Great environment. An easy place to work. Very appreciative e-.staffing that rewards your effort

    Cons

    There are instances when the workload becomes overwhelming. Last minute changes to configurations in production tests your skills on a regular bases.

    Keep up the good work. It was great working there.
