    Pros

Cool products, nice people, good mentors and a nice location to work. Benefits are ok compared to other semiconductor companies.

I have been working at Silicon Labs full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    * Good opportunities for internal advancement / sideways moves
    * Globally distributed teams work together
    * Full of hard-working, motivated, intelligent people
    * Stays ahead of the technology curve in the IOT space
    * Management is supportive of its employees
    * Boston office still has "startup" feel despite being part of a large company

    Cons

    * Lean staffing of teams means the important-but-not-urgent things often fall off the list
    * Frequent restructuring in Product Marketing organization (not turnover, just different org flow)
    * High cost of living in Boston metro area

    Advice to Management

Carefully consider the tradeoffs since you don't have the resources to do everything customers want in the time frame that they want it.
Be careful not to sacrifice product quality in the interest of quantity of features.
