I worked at Silver Chef full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free food and massages. Offices are modern.

    Cons

Management could focus on the what is really happening and not what they are being told is happening. The core values need to be shown to be done by all not just written nicely on the wall. The pressure to hit numbers encourages staff to be creative and not in a good way.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Silver Chef full-time

    Pros

Company provides free alcohol to all staff to drink during work hours on Fridays which makes the poor management slightly more tolerable?

    Cons

People are hired and promoted based on being a "good culture fit" and not based on education or work experience. There are no women in the management team. The office environment is tense because staff are afraid to voice their opinion. Staff is encouraged to be vulnerable and communicate however if the opinion or suggestion does not align with management you will be treated differently and excluded. Lack of HR support has led to negative employer / employee interactions and a high turn over rate.

I worked at Silver Chef full-time

    Pros

Culture, staff lunches, massages. Good if you have come straight from school or uni or have no real experience.

    Cons

Pay is on the low side for the industry if you are under CEO level. Regional split has caused 'boys clubs'. If you have experience in the 'real world' it is not such a great place to get ideas across.
