    Pros

Great culture, supportive management. Easy to work with for work life balance. Understanding about needing time off

    Cons

Health benefits are a little on the expensive side and I would like to be accruing more PTO than i do

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Silverado full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Seeing people with memory deficits enjoying life in a secure setting with complete freedom to outdoor and indoor activities wether their choice is to be part of the cooking class, art class or exercise class, or enjoy music or just sitting outside in the courtyard enjoying the beautiful day with a glass of FRE champagne! Surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, children and other things they may have enjoyed throughout their lives and feeling safe and loved in whatever they choose is the very best part of Silverado memory care communities, as a longtime nurse this is a dream community to me! I am so Thankful I have been given the opportunity to be part of such an amazing vision!!

    Cons

Nothing that can't be managed! I'm not sure why it is required to have 20 words here, if there are no real cons from my point of view!

I worked at Silverado as an intern

    Pros

I could have the opportunities to shadow all directors within the communities. And I learned a lot from marketing director and resident service director.

    Cons

Not too much real tasks for a intern to do.

I have been working at Silverado full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers, forward thinkers in hospice industry and leadership that is truly dedicated to employees, patients, and families.

    Cons

Long days, stress from home office on numbers, corporate entities lead by email. Bad apples giving care finally dismissed from team.

    Advice to Management

Demand more freedom to make the decisions to keep the branch healthy. Past leadership was shunned when trying to make things better for the team. I'm just glad he still stuck around to carry us through under new admin. Things are picking up and growth is phenomenal! Love working here now that all those other toxic nurses are gone!

    Pros

Great culture and work atmosphere. We feel appreciated and like family members. The leadership team truly cares for us, same as residents. The residents are wonderful and we have a great time connecting with them.

    Cons

It is difficult sometimes to separate work and home life. We all are so close and work hard together. When someone is out and we don't find a replacement, the work load gets tough, but we get through it. The job and the residents are worth it!
