Innovative, pushes boundaries, great values.

The best Company I have ever worked for
Mar 23, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in San Diego, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
This company really does treat you like family. I started after coming from an extremely toxic environment at another company and it was amazing how much this company really cared about the people that worked for it. Pros: Competative Pay (usually 10,000 - 20,000 more than the average you would get for the same job at another company Stock room was like a mini 7-11 and everything was free Users and Coworkers all treated each other with respect and were extremely patient with any issues they needed help with You will build alot of friendships at this company My specific team was the best ive ever worked with, very good compatibility with teamwork and helping eachother very often there were advancement opportunities. Work from home!
Cons
Company is shutting down unfortunately this is really the only Con I have after 4 years working at the bank that I can think of.

Incredible coworkers, work culture and growth.
Apr 17, 2023 - Integrations Analyst in La Jolla, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
My experience at Silvergate Bank has been exceptional, thanks to the supportive work culture that encourages learning, embraces change, and fosters growth. I've had the privilege of working with amazing coworkers who excel at building a strong sense of teamwork. As Silvergate winds down, I will cherish the memories of the company's mission, outstanding executive team, and incredible managers and coworkers. I am deeply grateful for this rewarding journey and honored to have worked alongside such phenomenal & intellectual people.
Cons
One minor drawback occasionally experienced is redundant work, which can be attributed to occasional lapses in communication. This is not unique to Silvergate but rather a consequence of bureaucratic processes that can be found in many organizations.

Great place to work before it all came crashing down
Feb 22, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Fully remote and innovative bank with decent work-life balance depending on the team. Filled with dedicated and approachable people. Good benefits and HR seems to actually care about the people. But as with any HR department the company comes first.
Cons
Management is laser-focused on the cryptocurrency industry and has intentionally avoided diversifying the business, selling off non-crypto related business units. This could play out well in the long run but in the short term it's led to massive layoffs, huge losses and increased scrutiny from regulators. The company grew too quickly and hired too many people, only to lay many of them off months after they were hired. I hope the company pulls through but it's anyone's guess.
