Best company I've worked for
Mar 23, 2023 - Underwriting in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Combination of salary and bonus is above average. Daily work expectations are fair. Management is honest, understanding and realistic. Also 100% remote which is great, if that's what you like. Side note - some people just don't have the self-discipline to work 100% remotely from home. Working in the mortgage industry requires a high sense of urgency and proactiveness. Those who are not motivated self-starters will not succeed working at home for a mortgage company - which is where I believe a lot of the disgruntled negative reviews on here are coming from.
Cons
Some of the technology is outdated and slow at times. When business is busy, the workload is a lot. But that is going to be the same at any mortgage company.

Good and Bad
Mar 29, 2023 - Mortgage Loan Processor in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The pay was pretty decent.. the culture in the beginning was fantastic.
Cons
Then they started to micromanage. They grew too big too fast. They did a mass hiring couple years ago and tried to keep up in the industry, and of course like everybody else had to do a mass reduction of employees.

Good Pay, benefits, but terrible Underwriting mangement and Team lead
Mar 9, 2023 - Mortgage Underwriter in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good pay, bonuses and Benefits
Cons
All of Underwriting management from Team leads all the way to the top underw riting manager are terrible, not supportive change there "tune" at the drop of a hat. The corporate office does not have a clue or just turning a blind eye on the underwrting mangement. Also the system they are on is archaic .

What Happened to this Company
Mar 13, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
100% remote You get a paycheck
Cons
Management only cares about bottom line and does not care about employees. Pay is not competitive with other mortgage companies. Has a “sweat shop” feel about it. Company has unrealistic expectations from the employees. Employees truly bust their butts to meet the expectations only to get a pat on the back. No real benefits other than the typical (time off, health/dental/vision, 401k)
