I have been working at Simi Valley Hospital part-time

    Pros

Its a great company, they definitely put their employees first. A lot of training programs you have to go through so you will always be prepared.

    Cons

Pretty busy hospital, so your constantly on the go. Aome of the training objectives online are pointless.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, especially how you treat your employees, but limit the online training programs.

    Pros

Good company to work for. They are updating the hospital and the surgical suites. Very exciting

    Cons

Sometimes slow and lower pay. Still a beautiful company. Just wish they served real bacon in the cafeteria.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that this is about patients and not about making money. Don't lose your humanity.

I have been working at Simi Valley Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Nice people, reasonable manager, good work loads, new ER, cooperative doctors, small town environment, some opportunities to learn new skills.

    Cons

Some old equipment, resistant to new ideas at times, not always up to date, poor pay, No advancement.

    Advice to Management

Listen to new ideas, hear what people are thinking, have some introspection on why they are saying this, and be creative in addressing new thinking. Do not dismiss new ideas just because corporate has not decided to do it. Make people feel like they are involved, and heard. Communicate with staff with respect.
