I have been working at Simmons Bank full-time

    Pros

    Great hours and good pay.

    Cons

Not much opportunity to move up.

  2. "Don't Apply! Horrible Place to Work"

I worked at Simmons Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There aren't many. I'll get back to that, if I think of any. Didn't used to be this bad.

    Cons

No consideration for their employees. Under staffed. Rude. Upper management could be better. Push loans and credit cards. No sense of customer service anymore.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and take care of the problems, even if you are part of those problems.
You lose good workers, because you want "yes" men.

I worked at Simmons Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved working with the customers- my co-workers were great - starting out working as a team and helping each other

    Cons

Upper management- sales sales sales - I was told it did not matter what your customer service survey was (at the time mine was 1000) if sales goals were not met - NO promotions - NO exceptions and you might even get moved to a different branch. Simmons has completely lost touch with home town feel and how to help their employees reach the goals set before them. I suppose something changes while I was there - It did not start out like this

    Advice to Management

Instead of just looking at sales numbers - how about know your employees. A lot if times we do go above and beyond to help our customers. I guess that is not looked at.

I worked at Simmons Bank full-time

    Pros

People are nice....but you can say that about just any place nowadays.

    Cons

There is no such thing as a bad loan at Simmons. Be prepared for the next financial crisis!

    Advice to Management

Lend with your brain and not for your appetite for growth.

I have been working at Simmons Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The management is open to new ideas and always focused on evolving and becoming better. They reward and value high performance, and there is always more opportunity for those that can show these traits. As we grow, the company is introducing a lot of new programs and tools that help me do my job better. The people are great to work with, and the pay and benefits are competitive.

    Cons

    None at this time.

    Advice to Management

As we grow, keep in mind who we want to be at Simmons and stay true to that. Continue to listen to the ideas and opinions of those in the bank. It makes us stronger!

I have been working at Simmons Bank (Less than a year)

    Pros

Holidays off, weekends off, gain PTO

    Cons

Way too sales oriented. They want to claim they serve customers but it feels like they just want you to sell credit cards. The pay is lower than other banks and you feel like just a number here. Management doesn't manage and doesn't let you have your own opinion. Looking for other work. Hands down worst bank I've worked for. Please reconsider this company. Advancement is low. Raises are slim.

    Advice to Management

Get your stuff together and take care of your employees. Customers don't want to be called by the bank for credit cards and accounts. Only when their money is in trouble.

    Pros

Good, solid company. Company is expanding their footprint into other states. Good company culture.

    Cons

Still experiencing some growing pains but they are addressing them. Wish they would offer remote opportunities. Job openings at other branches or states that could be done from current location remotely to give employees better opportunities to advance without having to relocate.
