I have been working at SimonMed Imaging part-time

    Pros

Easy interview and hired on the spot, many locations, big company

    Cons

The location I was at was being ran by young people who liked to party and not take their job or safety seriously.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to what goes on behind the scenes.

I have been working at SimonMed Imaging full-time

    Pros

Starting pay in my experience is good. However, that's only because they do not give raises even after 4-5 years! Might be good for individuals going to school or someone who desperately needs income, but must have thick skin for management are the primary creators of false rumors and gossip.

    Cons

Corrupt management. Corrupt human resources. If you complain to the compliance department, there are consequences. If you're looking for a job where good work ethic, integrity and positive moral will be rewarded, this is not the place for you. Must be able to "look the other way" when nepotism, racism, or unfair treatment occurs.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to Dr. Simon himself. This is a company with lots of financial potential but is held back by the type of business that is performed at management level. I'm sure employees would be happier, perform better and provide improved customer service, if management didn't continuously lie to them and/or create rumors about them. Honesty, truly is the best policy. Also, many of your employees that have received services have been reported to the credit bureau without receiving not even one bill. No wonder many patients end up there too.

I have been working at SimonMed Imaging (More than a year)

    Pros

They will let you have time off usually.

    Cons

overworked 20+ patients a day, you will never get a raise so ask for the moon when applying

    Advice to Management

give your employees raises. If your company is doing 10% more patients then last year then you can afford to give at least a 3% raise to your employees.

I have been working at SimonMed Imaging full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to move up is seen frequently with new infrastructure being put in place. Growing company with opportunities to learn and develop your skills. Challenging environment that makes the day go by quickly.

    Cons

Growth has caused some internal communication gaps that need addressed and improved. Lacking infrastructure as well that could help alleviate this.

I worked at SimonMed Imaging full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Nice fellow employees. Good people. Great patients

    Cons

Unethical, uncaring, unprofessional, unqualified management...all about the money, the numbers, the quotas. And they don't care how they get them.

    Advice to Management

Try to remember who actually "earns" your salaries and free lunches. And remember who the educated professionals are in your company. They are the ones actually doing work- not driving around Phoenix in company cars and lunching with each other.

I have been working at SimonMed Imaging (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good start pay even if you have no experience in the radiology field, they usually have a lot of openings within the company so it can be easy to move up (of course with the proper background needed)

    Cons

Management is all over the place, for a growing company you would think they would have management know what they are doing, no breaks, employees get stacked on so much work and if you don't finish in time or have it done how they like you receive an email the next day about what you did wrong.

    Advice to Management

Please get on the same page management!!! I have one lead telling me one thing and I have another lead telling me the opposite.

I have been working at SimonMed Imaging full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Will provide you a paycheck, but I always have to chek my bank account to make sure they pay me. Simonmed is well known for non-payment to vendors so I always have to wonder.

    Cons

Depends on what kind of person you are?

IF you want to take pride in who you work for this is the WORST place for you. You realize quickly that we over bill patients, buy vacant dumpsters and turn them into new centers, equipment is great though, but that was back when 1970 when that equipment was in use in a facility that took care of it.

IF you are a person who could care less about who and what you work for and what they represent and you really hate having good benefits then you will be fine.

    Advice to Management

Trying to advise the management at Simonmed is like advising someone with no arms and legs on how they should drive a car.

    Pros

Coworkers are amazing. Great hours and pay.

    Cons

Schedulers and managers do not understand the exams or exam times. Freuqntly double booked with no regard for the patient. Patients are double booked in slots and promised they will be out as a certain time. It seems to be all about the numbers and money made. I became a tech to provide customers with great customer care. I have had negative imaging experiences and wanted to be a positive experience. It is really impossible to provide good care when u are rushed through a 15 minute exam and it is down right scary because this is how mistakes are made. I wish this company would think about their employees and their patients.
A happy tech will be loyal as will a happy customer.

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking about the dollars and start thinking about good patient care. Patients are much happier when they are not double booked.
