Great place to learn about governmental &nonprofit accounting. Generally cool coworkers, management is friendly!

One small room for all the auditors at the office. Lack of training and support staff. Benefits and pay are lacking. Extremely high employee turnover.

Pros
Simpson created a great office culture. Working at Simpson makes you feel like you are apart of more than just work. The people at Simpson and the work/life balance is what makes this place so great. Nice breakroom with lots of free snacks/drinks - Nice location (office is located fancy high rise US Bank Tower in dtla)
Cons
Great experience so far except for one thing. 401(k) could have a better employer match with a better vesting schedule.

1. Unfair treatment such as giving someone who has a special relationship extra bonus for doing a good job - isn't doing a good job included in the job description? 2. Low pay and no flexibilities - yes, they love to keep you in the office to do CPEs 3. Unreasonable budget for audit engagements

Exposure to auditing. Nice co-workers. Not too crazy busy season hours.
Cons
No training at all. Bipolar audit supervisor with an attitude. No 401k. Expensive health benefit options. Expense reimbursements take a long time. No free parking. No family/team atmosphere. Staff favoritism. Power trip supervisors. No HR on site. Small office/cramp spaces. Old technology. NO TRAINING!!!

Friendly coworkers. Nice office that in reality employees are paying for.
Cons
This firm pays way below average and does not provide any training. Almost all the individuals who work here speak little to no English. They take advantage of these employees because they know they have no other options as far as landing a job at a decent firm. fancy office but that's only because they are not paying their employees. In reality the employees are paying for their office. Extremely so salary.
