Interesting work; patient trying upper management

    Pros

Working in a small office. Muli-faceted work environment. My manager was very knowledgeable and willing to teach me beyond my position. Always busy, never boring.

    Cons

Dishonest upper management who do not keep their promises. Short sighted General Managers with no real business experience. Some sites received better benefits than others. Some facilities were made to feel lesser.

    Pros

Always busy, never bored. There are many interesting operational problems to be dealt with. Safety is a Top Priority! Fun colleagues to work with.

    Cons

Excessive reliance on temporary workers. Training of any type, unless specifically safety-related, is nonexistent. Low compensation, slow advancement. Poor communication from upper management.

    Pros

The Pay is decent and able to accrue lots of PTO.

    Cons

Treated like you’re replaceable Never get time to take PTO Upper management is only concerned with safety when it doesn’t hinder production Multiple shift changes Barely a set schedule No work/life balance

Diversity and Inclusion? .... more like boys club

    Pros

After working here, other companies don’t seem so bad! EAP is offered but not communicated. Processes and machines are pretty interesting and fun to watch.

    Cons

Females are excluded from upper management roles. Very “high school” like environment that will exploit young and vulnerable workers. Unfortunately, the time I worked for Sims bullying and harassment was common and complaints are ignored; resulting with the victim found at fault “it is their perception of the situation” which is wrong. The moment you mention talking to HR you are pulled away and had a chat with. Equal opportunity does not exists.
