    Positive Outlook

I worked at Singapore Institute of Management Pte full-time

    Pros

Good team work, good bosses, good open culture and good employment benefits. Nice environment although it is open concept. Alot of interaction with other dept colleagues.

    Cons

Long working hours and extra hours put in for Saturday's beside normal working hours. Alot of time spend doing students interaction and PR work.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time to listen to staff feedback and try to cut down working hours for work life balance. Generally most bosses are nice and friendly.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

They eat a lot. They are called 'Singapore Institute of Makan' but the food aint good.

    Cons

People here are basically living day to day and do not have the foresight and expertise to bring the organisation to the next level. A lot work needs to be done. A international division that has this new director seems to keep things secret making things hard for other departments (like mine) to work with. And its hurting the company.

    Advice to Management

Buck up and keep up with times. Companies are no longer woking like that. Start to share information and brainstorm new strategies for the company.

I have been working at Singapore Institute of Management Pte part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interesting projects, friendly and helpful colleagues, ability to work independently and with others. So far, I've been able to make suggestions which my bosses are willing to listen to - for that I am grateful.

    Cons

So far, things have been going well so I do not really have much to say in this section.

    Advice to Management

I need more time in and experience to understand the wider running of this institution and the challenges it faces.
