    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Singapore Land Authority full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Company culture is friendly and open to sharing information.

    Cons

Some bosses are very weak but continue to remain at their positions, leading to demoralised staff. It's a good place for retirement and don't expect much progression. Easy job.

    Advice to Management

Please retrain upper management who do not perform.

"Workload too heavy, bad senior management"

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Singapore Land Authority full-time

    Pros

Nice colleagues (working level) Decent salary

    Cons

Case officers have too much workload with high turn-over rate. Information systems difficult to use and require too much input from overworked staff. Senior management expects staff to reply WhatsApp after working hours for unimportant queries. Senior management often change their minds on SOP and make overworked staff write random policies that don't even get implemented.

    Advice to Management

Hope the management could listen to the ground working level to figure out what’s the problem is. And wish people be open and talk to management before they quit. Both parties have to take the courage and willingness to change to address the key issues/problem. If a workplace can’t attract and keep young talent to stay, it’s tough for the company to stay competitive and innovative. For young and newcomer,... please be patient when you want to make a change. This is a company with a history. Some senior colleague works here for more than three decades. So it's impossible to see the changes happen overnight. If you are willing to stay resilience, keep improve yourself and fight for the right thing, I believe management would see the effort. Also, before you ask for change, please also be justify yourself how much effort you had put in/contribute to the organiser. Don't simply quit and complain to HR, nothing will change. And you will see a similiar situation/ management happen in your next company. I share this with my experience of working for 6 companies throughout my career.

I have been working at Singapore Land Authority full-time

    Pros

-Good training ground for young grads on how Govt manage Real Estate issues, concerning the Public. -Working level colleagues are great and fun to work with. -Suitable workplace for those who don’t have/want a life outside of work

    Cons

-Organisation leadership is questionable, ground sentiments are heard but not acted upon. -Work-life balance largely depends on the department you join and your bosses.

    Advice to Management

Unreal expectations and politicking only adds to the workload to those under you, discouraging subordinates from staying in the organisation for the long haul.

I worked at Singapore Land Authority full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good exposures with learning opportunities on how fresh leases are made from Creative ideas.

    Cons

Excessive piling workloads and public enquries that slown down the key activities. Couple with existing colleagues leaving the organisation, there isn’t any proper taking and handing over. Resulted in a vicious cycle of people in and out of the company and left more things for the next one to take over. No worklife balance. Weekend is likely burnt due to carry over work.

    Advice to Management

Management has to change their style of leadership and reduce the processes.

I have been working at Singapore Land Authority full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is no pros to speak of at all

    Cons

One of the worst places to work at, especially at the Leasing department where a male tyrant boss does outrageous things such as: -Gas-lighting -Micromanagement -Refusal to admit mistake when wrong -Senseless shouting at subordinates -Twisted logic and mannerism to staff I urge the HR to take a serious view in this matter, there has been a constant stream of staff leaving the department and I will not rule... out the fact that he is the main problem. Thanks.
