    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Singapore University of Social Sciences full-time

    Pros

Caters to unique group of students (mature students) - meaningful mandate

    Cons

It's a bureaucracy. Hardly an innovative place. Tightly run by the President and Provost. Hardly a vision to speak off as it is about meeting MOE's KPIs. Staff does have much space to innovate.

I worked at Singapore University of Social Sciences full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Employee Training Opportunities - Good amount of bonus

    Cons

    - Office politics running way too rampant, from school offices all the way to the administrative offices - Expected to know everything from A to Z from just the first briefing, lack of guidance from middle managers - Favouritism, making a biased judgement, innocent ones tends to be bullied - Final judgement of an employee will be based on all the mistakes done, be it own or others, especially when you're at the bottom of the hierarchy - As an institution, they lack direction of how to improve, reason being management acts as the clients (students)
